Snout Scouts is a pet enrichment-focused shop dedicated to making fresh and natural treats. We focus on clean ingredients and thoughtfully designed enrichment products to make snack time, playtime and training time more fun and engaging.

Our products are made in small batches to ensure freshness in every bag we send out.

We're huge proponents of fresh, whole foods for our pup, and we believe they should be incorporated as often as one can afford; however, fresh ingredients spoil quickly and can’t always be stored safely for long term use.

For our meat treats and chews, many want the dental benefits of a raw chew without the raw handling aspect.

By air-drying, we gently remove moisture to keep nutrients and flavour intact, whilst creating new textures and smells from an ingredient's original form.

This means your pet can enjoy its favourite ingredients in a convenient, shelf-stable treat or topper, without preservatives or the risk of quick spoilage.

We use pet-safe, high-quality ingredients; however, every pet is different. If your pet has allergies or dietary restrictions, check our ingredients listed under each product on our website, or consult your vet. Many of our enrichment treats and chews are suitable for all life stages, and we clearly label products for age or size when necessary on each product page.

We’ve provided storage instructions in the info section of each of our treat products.

Most treats are best kept in a cool, dry place; all can be frozen for long-term storage up to three months. Our focus on freshness and no preservatives means they have shorter shelf lives than mass-produced alternatives. We do our best to deliver products with stability in mind, and we aren’t liable for any spoilage of the product once it reaches you.

Due to the nature of our products, we don’t accept returns of any items once shipped and delivered to you and/or opened.

Because we’re a small shop with limited resources and hands, and depending on the season or order load, products have a lead time of anywhere between 2-5 days for each order. We then ship your order which can take anywhere from 2-6 days for delivery depending on location and speediness of our courier.

We’re proud to make our treats and enrichment products by hand, here in South Africa, in small batches from locally- and nationally-sourced ingredients and materials.

Once your order is collected and/or delivered by the courier, we can’t take responsibility for lost packages. If any parcels get lost along the way, our courier notifies us and we engage with them directly to try and resolve the issue.

Once your order is submitted and paid, we start making your treats.
